Maruti Suzuki has recalled 103,311 units of the Swift hatchback, Dzire compact sedan and the Ertiga MPV in India. The recall is the second such one is as many years. Last year, the Swift, Dzire and Ertiga were recalled, albeit in limited numbers, for a steering column replacement. This time around, the recall is much larger, what with Maruti Suzuki calling in 47,237 units of the Swift, 42,481 units of the Dzire and 13,593 units of the Ertiga to replace a faulty fuel filler neck. The recall affects Swifts, Dzire and Ertigas sold after 12th November, 2013, and will be carried out at no cost to the customer. Maruti Suzuki has begun stockpiling the fuel filler neck at dealerships, in order to carry out the recall effectively. Swift, Dzire and Ertiga owners who have bought their cars after the 12th of November, 2013, are advised to contact their nearest Maruti Suzuki dealerships for information on whether their car is affected by the recall.
